As the Director, Benefits & Compensation, you will plan, develop, implement and administer all compensation, benefit plans, policies and programs and HR administration programs for over 10,000 associates, ensuring that the Total Rewards philosophy is translated into programs that align with business objectives. This position will report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer.

  • Manage the design, implementation and administration of all compensation programs including salary structure development and administration, and annual incentive programs.
  • Lead, develop and administer the strategy for all benefits programs health and welfare, retirement plans, life insurance and disability and the company wellness plans, with the support of brokers and vendors.
  • Lead the Benefits Team in the day-to-day administration, planning, and development of all benefits programs
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate renewals with third-party providers.
  • Oversee the review, communication, and implementation of the annual open enrollment process.
  • Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations related to compensation and benefits programs.
  • Provide leadership to and direct supervision of total rewards team through effective coaching and performance management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Finance/Accounting or related field, required
  • At least 8 - 10 years of HR operations, technology, and benefits and compensation programs or related experience.
  • Advanced Excel is mandatory
  • Experience working with compensation structures, job evaluation process and benchmark salary data
  • Large, public company exposure, comfortable and experienced with complexity.
  • Executive Compensation / Compensation Committee experience preferred.
  • Strong project management, organizational and analytical skills to support data analysis and reporting
  • Very strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to effectively convey messages to different leaders and ensure teams understand total rewards, policies and their accountabilities.
  • A track record of managing, leading and developing a team.
  • Expert knowledge & understanding of HR (local/state/federal) law.
