Open Until FilledPosition Summary:Students participating in PEC??s Internship Program will gain work experience in their field of study, develop skills, make professional connections strengthen their resume, and assess their interests and abilities. The summer internship program will run for a period of ten to twelve weeks. Work location will vary based on assignment. Students may also be eligible to earn college credits during their internship. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with coworkers, management team and other key stakeholdersComplete learning objectives identified for the field of studyParticipate in short and long term projects related to field of studyParticipate in department activities and complete assigned tasksComplete a written evaluation at the completion of the internship periodAdhere to all PEC policiesAttend orientation and training activitiesComplete intern off-boarding processesMaintain confidentialityStay abreast of advances in technology This Intern position is assigned to the IT Applications Department under the Information Technology Business Unit and will work on projects and/or tasks such as:Analyze Data TrendsPerform all levels of analytics: Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive, and PrescriptiveLook for insights and opportunities within the data that can provide a positive business impactWorking with cross functional teamsApplications support and development: SharePoint, Qlik, JAVA, as well as other programming languages Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data, configuration, or processing informationKnowledge of principles and processes for providing customer serviceSkilled in time managementSkilled in prioritizing and managing changing prioritiesSkilled in data analysis and problem solvingAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to listen and understand information verbally and in writingAbility to anticipate, identify, analyze and resolve conflict and problemsAbility to establish and maintain working relationships with Cooperative employees and members Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensure):High School Diploma or equivalentCurrently enrolled at an accredited college or university ORParticipant in PEC qualifying program, i.e., Youth Tour or Scholarship Program Some travel may be required throughout service territory.
